Meet the Founder Behind Rise Logistics Group
After years in the freight industry, working with both small brokerages and national operations, Tanner Giesel saw firsthand where shippers were being let down: smaller brokerages often provided better personal service but lacked resources, while larger ones had the scale but treated customers like just another account.
Tanner Giesel founded Rise Logistics Group because he believed customers deserved better and shouldn’t have to choose between personalized service and real operational strength.
That belief became the foundation for Rise Logistics Group: a company built on responsiveness, honesty, relationships, and doing what you say you’re going to do.
Today, Rise Logistics Group combines that same hands-on, relationship-driven approach with the nationwide infrastructure of Armstrong, giving customers the reliability and capabilities of a massive network without losing the personal attention of a smaller team.
When he’s not streamlining supply chains, Tanner Giesel is a family man. He enjoys life with his wife and daughter, serves at his church, and stays active with softball, pickleball, and lifelong support of the Chicago Cubs.
